I felt compelled to write at this time because what I am learning in class right now is outstanding. The web is so amazing man and we need to know how fortunate we are to have the unlimited access to it. It’s mind blowing to know that people use blogging to communicate due to being silenced or threatened in reality. I personally dislike blogging. It doesn’t do anything for me because that’s what my friends are for…to listen to me ramble. However, I have a greater respect for blogging and bloggers. To be honest, I should count my blessing because I can write what I want, when I want, where I want, about who ever I want and not be “crucified”. Unlike China and other countries who have strict laws on what people can say or access. A blogger who was unable to blog due to being incarcerated was able to sneak his thoughts out and have someone update his blog. WOW!! Talk about dedicated! To learn that a reporter in the U.S was getting his information and updates about what was going on in Darfur through a blogger living through the tragedy was overwhelming. Thank God for the internet blogging and no rules…to an extent. I have a greater respect for blogging now!
It blew me away too…and it continues to–almost daily. Psyched to hear about your view on bloggers—because I’m hoping you’ll keep blogging so I can keep reading. It’s really fun to read your thoughts.
